No. Polishing removes scratches in the clear coat. If a scratch goes through to the color or primer, it needs touch-up or a local paint repair. Your photos usually tell us which, and we will say so honestly.
It also helps you see. A cloudy lens lets less light through. In AAA testing, badly yellowed headlights produced only a fraction of the light of new ones (AAA research). Results depend on how worn the lens is.
